As a licensed psychologist-doctorate, I offer psychological assessment/testing services and psychotherapy.
ASSESSMENT FOR CHILDREN AND TEENS: Referrals for assessment are typically initiated because the child/teen is experiencing academic, social, behavioral, or emotional difficulties in school and/or at home. The following may be included in an assessment battery in order to make appropriate recommendations to the family and the school:
Testing of child’s cognitive strengths and weaknesses, including assessment for intellectual disabilities
ADHD and executive function evaluation
Assessment of emotional and behavioral needs related to anxiety, depression, anger, disruptive behavior, and poor self-concept.
ASSESSMENT FOR ADULTS: Personality and clinical assessments can be performed to aid in further life or treatment planning. These may include:
Intelligence testing
Memory evaluation
ADHD and executive function evaluation
Assessment of depression and anxiety
Personality features
PTSD evaluations
Included in the assessment is a written report including findings and recommendations which can be shared with schools, physicians, and treatment providers. A feedback meeting will also be offered to review and explain assessment results and recommendations.
PSYCHOTHERAPY Having been a psychotherapist for over 30 years, I currently enjoy therapy with adults and couples. I appreciate the depth perspective of psycho-dynamic and Jungian therapy, paying attention to underlying themes and barriers that get in the way of living more fully. I have expertise in mood and anxiety disorders, significant life transitions, grief and loss, spiritual issues that impact daily living, and the psychological impact of medical issues. .
